Amazon Senior Product Manager - Tech, Prime Video Channels in Seattle, Washington

Want to change the way people stream movies and TV? We are seeking an experienced product manager to lead our efforts in building new and innovative experiences in how customers can access more content in the Prime Video app via 3rd party subscription plans.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will help define and build the roadmap and customer experience for new 3rd party subscription plans in the Prime Video app across all clients and geographies. You will participate in developing the strategy and vision, and develop product roadmaps to execute on that vision. This role is inherently cross-functional; you will work closely with engineering, project management, design, operations, finance, legal, business development, customer service, content acquisition, and executive teams to bring products to market, develop and grow business opportunities, and enhance our customer experience.

We are looking for someone with experience in building digital subscription products and who is highly analytical, resourceful, customer focused, team oriented, and has the ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. You will also have a consistent track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of the Prime Video customer, both existing and potential.

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the digital video market segments, and continually assess the competitive landscape and emerging industry trends.

  • Partner with key stakeholders to define the product vision, strategy, roadmap and supporting metrics required to deliver and enhance a best in class ads experiences

  • Own the development of detailed product requirements documents.

  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and project management teams to deliver on the product roadmap.

  • Drive projects, products, and feature launches with other teams both inside and outside of the Prime Video team including: business development, content acquisition, legal, marketing, finance, customer service, and operations.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of end to end product delivery experience

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

  • Experience with defining and launching consumer digital products to market

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight

  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

  • Experience with defining and launching digital subscription products

  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product requirement definition and enhancements

  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

  • Experience leading cross-organizational programs and setting and holding teams and individuals to timelines and deliverables without explicit authority

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
