The Kindle team is looking for a Product Manager to drive the strategy and vision for the next set of content innovations to delight customers around the world.Kindle is an iconic product and a thriving business adored by customers around the world - but it's still "day one" in inspiring the world to read more and get more out of reading every day, across all their devices. We are looking for a Product Manager, who will collaborate with publishers, business teams, and technical teams to unlock the next level of content and reading experiences.The successful candidate will have led consumer facing apps, combining passion for amazing customer experiences with the ability to work closely with design and engineering to find creative solutions to tough challenges, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. She or he must be highly analytical and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into high quality, simple products and apps that customers love.Key responsibilities* Defining strategic, creative, high quality product roadmaps based on team strategy and vision supported by internal and external analysis* Inspire customers by consistently raising the bar on what it means to have the best digital reading experience in the world across all content mediums.* Learn from customer feedback, behavioral measurements, and other data sources to craft better experiences and ensure we are building the right features over time.* Crisply and clearly framing hotly debated and high stakes decisions for senior leadership. Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners.* Drive product launches including working with public relations team, executives, and other product management team members* Experience with end to end product delivery* 5+ years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology* Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product* Bachelor's Degree* Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product* Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition* Bachelor's degree* 3+ years post-MBA, or 5+ years' work experience performing relevant product management job functions.* Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects on tight deadlines* Experience coordinating complex product development cycles and software development schedules* Demonstrated history of strong customer focus* MBA and a BS in computer science or related technical field* Experience developing desktop and mobile apps, especially ones which have broad adoption and usage.* Using quantitative and qualitative data to back up assumptions, develop business cases, and measure success.* History working on complex digital products (preferably end-customer-facing) through multiple lifecycles.* Ability to think both strategically and tactically; equally comfortable with long-term planning and day-to-day progress tracking and execution.* Interest in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired.* Strong collaboration skills. You have a proven ability to work across functions and across marketplaces to influence senior leaders.
