Job Description

The Senior Product Manager 2 – Inventory Positioning is a key member of the Nordstrom Product Management team, which will deliver data-driven capabilities to determine where, when, and in what quantities we position inventory across Nordstrom to optimally serve our customers. This role will focus on strategic optimization of secondary positioning functions including intra-network inventory movement, rebalancing, and leveraging returns as a source of goods. Product Management is responsible for making sure we build the right products and features for our customers and business. To accomplish that, product managers plan the product roadmap and prioritize the applicable technology backlog, lead product discovery, and measure and communicate results of the feature portfolio in production, all while ensuring stakeholder alignment.

  • Leads product discovery across the organization to understand relevant product opportunities

  • Drives product vision, articulating the value proposition and ensuring alignment to company strategic vision

  • Clearly evangelizes their complex product and defines the product roadmap

  • Breaks down product roadmap into releasable features and owns the prioritization and sequencing of those features to best support strategic goals

  • Develops feature timeline and sequencing plan across multiple domains, considering complex technical and operational constraints and delivery of iterative value

  • Writes complete user stories and acceptance criteria within domain and influences across domains

  • Defines, measures, and monitors KPI’s for product specific features

  • Partners with Data Science and Engineering on feature design

  • Possesses technical and domain knowledge to promote complete and extensible product design and agile delivery

  • Collaborates effectively across Inventory, Merchandising, Store Ops, Supply Chain, and Finance domains

You own this if you have…

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience of product management experience with technology or retail company preferred

  • Bachelors’ degree in math, statistics, finance, economics, or related quantitative discipline is preferred

  • Ability to define, measure and analyze processes to identify improvement opportunities

  • Technical background and understanding of software development principals

  • Ability to build relationships cross-functionally with multiple teams from areas such as Data Science, Analytics, and Engineering

  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

California: $141,000 - $258,000 Annually, Colorado: $141,000 - $219,500 Annually, Washington: $141,000 - $258,000 Annually

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
