This role is part of the Lunar Transportation business unit, which develops Blue Origin's multiple Blue Moon lander product lines. We are looking for an experienced positive displacement pump engineer for our Lunar Lander for NASA's Artemis mission to lead the design of a clean sheet LH2 and LOX pumps. A successful candidate will have designed, manufactured, and tested multiple cryogenic positive displacement pumps. You will work directly with NASA and our National Team Partners as part of the Human Landing System (HLS) Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD) program. You will play a key role in developing the Lunar Transportation system that will return humans to the Moon and extend human presence permanently beyond the bounds of Earth. Qualifications: B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering or related technical subject area 7+ years of experience in complete cryogenic pump design Professional experience designing components such as piston rings, check valves, drive linkages, and pump bodies in cryogenic fluids such as LOX, LH2, or LNG Experience in 3D CAD programs (Creo preferred) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools (ANSYS preferred) Proficiency in crafting engineering drawings with GD&T (ASME Y14.5) Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills with ability to directly collaborate with external parties including government and commercial entities Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum Willingness to work on-site with occasional travel Desired: M.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering or related technical subject area Experience in all phases of integrating pumps in space vehicle applications Experience working with LOX and LH2 Experience in engineering analysis/support for disposition of Non-Conformance (NC) Compensation Range for: CA applicants is $136,467.00-$191,053.80;CO applicants is $125,480.25-$175,672.35;WA applicants is $136,467.00-$191,053.80 Other site ranges may differ Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.
