Providence St. Joseph Health Senior Point of Care Coordinator in Seattle, Washington

Description The position is responsible for Quality Assurance and Compliance of the point of care testing program at their assigned campus(es). This position is responsible for managing the administrative and technical day to day operations of hospital point of care lab testing at the campus level. This includes, coordinating, training and controlling point of care testing throughout the assigned campus in which they are assigned in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards. It also includes responsibility for implementation of new service areas and improvements in technology, with recommendations to the System-wide Point of Care Manager regarding enhancements of the program. The Senior Point of Care Coordinator lends support to other service managers by providing utilization information and assistance with projects which focus on patient care and safety. Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology or Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists or Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathology 5 years as a Medical Technologist. 2 years Leadership experience. Preferred Qualifications: 1 year Point of care testing experience. Experience working directly with clinical staff, supervisors, managers and physicians in a hospital setting.
