Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for a Senior or Principal Environmental Professional in Seattle, Washington to support our growing environmental compliance and due diligence practice with our Northwest Branch. This role will be responsible for managing people and projects, developing client relationships, ensuring technical excellence, and providing expertise on projects involving portfolio risk management, environmental, health and safety compliance, due diligence, and Brownfield redevelopment. We operate under a sell-manage-do culture, and so we expect that you'd work on challenging technical projects while leveraging your existing knowledge and experience to help Geosyntec expand its current practices and capabilities through business development and client management. You may also be asked to take on project management responsibilities, along with staff management and development, and mentoring tasks. Some of the key responsibilities may include: Managing, permitting, planning, compliance and environmental oversight of projects involving due diligence, including multi-media compliance reviews and ASTM-compliant Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments; Managing multiple projects within the scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensuring quality standards on project deliverables; Managing the overall delivery of projects including, project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management; Effectively stewarding and building client relationships to repeat business; and Developing business opportunities with new and existing clients and preparing associated proposals. Education and Licensure Bachelor's degree in environmental or earth sciences; or environmental, civil, or chemical engineering; or a related field. (required) Advanced degree in the same. (preferred) Licensure as a Professional Engineer (P.E.), Professional Geologist (P.G.), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), or similar. (preferred) Skills, Experience and Qualifications Minimum 8 years (10+ years preferred) of experience in an environmental consulting environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
