Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin's vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth.Responsibilities:Lead a functional engineering team responsible for the design and development of reliable avionics test equipment (TE) and software used in both qualification and acceptance test environments for multiple Engines programs.This includes calibration equipment, upgrades to TE and troubleshooting/repair of deployed assets.Work with the Engines Design Office and your team to establish technical standards across the TE life cycles and develop process expectations.This includes derivation of TE requirements, generation of design documentation, establishment of and adherence to standard design review processes and standardization of test equipment approaches.Lead and support trade studies to select the right technical architectures for the Engines Avionics Test Equipment group.Some project management is required as you will be directly responsible for quality, cost and schedule deliverables and tracking.Collaborate with the Engines Avionics Hardware Design and Hardware Test teams to support their test equipment needs, as well as the New Product Introduction team to ensure smooth transition to production test capabilities.As part of a diverse and hardworking team of specialists, you will be responsible for the employee life cycle including performance management and career development, training and allocating engineering resources to program developments.We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!Qualifications:B.S. degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.10+ years of prior relevant experience in automated test equipment design and testing5+ years relevant experience in qualification and acceptance test of electronics hardware5+ years of demonstrated experience in leading direct reporting team members and indirect/matrixed program team members5+ years testing in a production environment, inclusive of transition to production activitiesAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusionAbility to manage projects including vendor selection, fabrication, inspection, equipment installation, and operational qualification/commissionDemonstrated experience managing cross-functional projects on budget and scheduleExperience in SDLC methodologies, Agile and WaterfallStrong negotiation and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate vertically and horizontally, as well as to external companiesMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Familiarity with avionics hardware product design and development life cycle including requirement development, detailed design, integration, and qualification (e.g. DO-160, MIL-STD 461, MIL-STD-810)Familiarity with analog/digital circuit architecture and design including typical avionics interfacesFamiliarity with software languages (C, C++, MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW, Rust)Experience with ProE/Creo and Windchill CAD/PDM systems, and Microsoft ProjectDesired:Master's Degree (M.S.) or higherin computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related field3+ years managing projects with a bud
