Amazon Senior IT Risk Manager, AWS Risk Management in Seattle, Washington

Description

The AWS Risk Management Team, within AWS Finance, is seeking a Senior IT Risk Manager to support Amazon Web Services controllership.

Key job responsibilities

• Influence senior leadership to implement strategic and programmatic controls across a broad portfolio of work to enhance controllership.

• Design and execute the IT controls strategy.

• Lead IT controls design and implementation with business partner teams.

• Lead deep dives on IT risks related to specific technologies (e.g. Cloud, AI/ML, RPA) to define the set of risk and controls in addressing financial and operational reporting risk.

• Provide ongoing support to process owners/control owners and cross-functional teams to ensure IT controls are designed and implemented effectively.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders across the organization to act without having a direct reporting relationship

  • Experience developing and implementing of standards, policies and programs or equivalent

  • Experience designing, implementing, and testing IT General Controls.

  • Strong skills in performing data analytics and dashboards.

  • Knowledge of internal control framework (specifically COSO) to assess control design and operational efficiency

  • Strong understanding of SOX methodology and associated standards (sections 302, 404, AS5, PCAOB, etc.)

  • Experience designing controls for or auditing of cloud based IT environment and/or major ERP software

  • A demonstrated history of solving multiple and complex challenges

  • Aptitude for leading teams; influencing and galvanizing others to follow you toward a solution

  • Strong risk management experience, including: performing assessments and audits, designing controls, managing enterprise control frameworks, and prioritizing risk

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
