Job summaryThe AWS Finance team is seeking a Senior IT Risk Manager to support AWS (Amazon Web Services) controllership. Our top priority is controllership. At Amazon, we move with purpose and speed, and this requires that we work with a dynamic network of partners across businesses.Key job responsibilities* Support projects to enhance AWS controllership processes related to revenue streams, owned and leased asset management and tracking, procurement, OPEX, IT, and more* Functional maintenance of the AWS Controllership Framework covering objectives, risks, and controls* Evaluate and prioritize risks within the AWS organization* Partner with related finance and business and technology teams to mitigate risks across the organization* Track control defects, partner with business teams to conduct deep dives where needed, and offer near-term and long-term solutions to close gaps* Deliver ongoing initiatives with business partnersA day in the lifeWe are searching for bar-raising professionals who consistently exceed expectations, who thrive in a challenging workplace, and who can actively contribute to the team. The Senior IT Risk Manager is a subject matter expert in evaluating key functional processes within the business, identifying and prioritizing risk areas, and developing or enhancing controls built for scale. We care about your career growth and strive to assign projects based on what will help each team member develop into a better-rounded professional and enable them to take on more complex tasks in the future.* Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, information systems, or a related field* 6+ years of industry experience of increasing responsibility leading teams and driving technology risk management processes, methodologies, and tools* Internal controls experience in a publicly traded company or public accounting* Public accounting experience in assurance or advisory roles for large global publicly traded companies* Skilled in IT risk analysis and making operational and technical trade-offs between short versus long-term risk mitigation goals* Multidisciplinary experience in risk management, program management and accounting and deep experience with ITGCs* Proven ability to take ownership, self-motivate, and deliver results in highly ambiguous environments* Aptitude for leading teams; influencing and galvanizing others to follow you toward a solution* Ability to exercise sound judgement, problem solve, and make decisions in complex situations* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive level presentations* Ability to thrive in a startup-like environmentAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
