Amazon is seeking an exceptional Senior Instock Manager with experience in supply chain management or inventory/business analysis. In order to be successful in this position, you need to be comfortable driving business decisions in a high pressure and often ambiguous work environment, and interfacing and driving various functional teams and individuals at all levels of the organization. A successful candidate will be highly analytical, resourceful, customer focused, team oriented, and will have an ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. The person will have a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment. This role will include a mix of long term strategic projects and short term tactical tasks.This position is responsible for developing and executing category level sales and inventory strategies to optimize availability and inventory turns. In this role, you will have end to end ownership of managing inventory. You will also build strong partnerships with category management, merchandising and operations teams to drive toward common goals. Responsibilities include:* Create a sourcing strategy for your categories that optimizes for availability and cost.* Manage inventory, inventory health, item-level forecasting, assortment planning* Participate in manufacturer and vendor reviews; drive vendor operational improvement through measurement and process improvement* Interact with operations teams and drive efficiencies through team collaboration* Manage inbound shipments: fill rate, ASINs, operational issues, lead time* Achieve and maintain high instock rates on replenishment programs* Analyze inventory position and SKU performance to determine inventory liability, determine exit strategy for unproductive inventoryBasic Qualifications* 5+ years supply chain, inventory management and/or project management experience* Experience working with computer databases and tools and process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma* Experience working with complex data sets* Experience communicating and presenting to senior leadershipAmazon is an Equal Opportunity Employer .and.ndash; Minority / Women / Disability / Veteran / Gender Identity / Sexual Orientation / Age
