You ultimately drive decisions that affect millions of global customers.Career Opportunities:SCOT Finance seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to support IPE, the business organization that is the authority of Amazon's Operating Inventory and is tasked with the prediction and actionable explanation of the WW inventory levels that the company carries to satisfy customer demand. This is an opportunity to become the finance owner of one of Amazon's key ongoing investments and to establish the mechanisms to effectively monitor, manage, and report on Amazon's worldwide inventory position. The role also has stakeholders in capacity planning teams, and FPandA. This role will involve interacting with a cross-functional team including product managers, software engineers, economists, business intelligence engineers, statisticians, Retail business leaders, and supply chain experts to build tools and operational metrics that quantify and explain Amazon's inventory position across our global network.Success in this role:The successful candidate has demonstrated the following abilities: they have a solid business judgment and controllership focus. A typical day in this role provides an opportunity to identifying the high-priority work and projects that maximize results for key stakeholders, building new solutions with large-scale data mining tools, and solve complex problems that effect company-wide strategic decisions.Key Responsibilities:* Identifying and structuring financial support for the Inventory Planning and Entitlement function.* Build tools, processes and develop audit mechanism to ensure inventory predictions are aligned with trends, future initiatives, and business expectations.* Coordinate and draft narratives for Operating Plans, Business Reviews and other initiatives including preparation of monthly/quarterly bridges to understand drivers of variance to plan* Partner with various SCOT teams to estimate/understand the impact new initiatives or changes to existing systems will have on Amazon's inventory position* Build and maintain a high level of knowledge across all business areas by staying current on initiatives, challenges, and opportunities across SCOT and the Retail business that impact inventory levels* Ensure appropriate financial controls are being applied by our automated inventory management systems* Serve as the liaison between the Retail Finance and Operations Finance teams, helping drive transparency in our inventory levels and associated outputsBasic Qualifications* BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) or equivalent.* Minimum 5+ years of finance experience,
