Amazon is seeking an exceptional Senior Finance Analyst to partner with the New Seller Success (NSS) team to drive Seller acquisition and development for our multi-billion dollar Third Party business. New Sellers are the life blood of our Marketplace business and make up a significant portion of both the active seller base and selection contribution. We rely on new Sellers to bring our customers more selection, lower pricing, and better experience. We place great focus on building a healthy Seller business which determines the future and potential of Amazon's 3P business. This individual will work with the NSS Sales team to provide strategic decision support, metric reporting, and forecasting. You will build strong relationships cross functionally with a range of functions from marketing stakeholders to data scientists to define and answer the right business questions that will drive our business forward. The right individual will have the ability to influence business leaders through effective verbal and written communication, logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives.

Key job responsibilities

  • Building strategic relationships with key technology and marketing leaders to ensure program success.

  • Ability to go beyond data to create true insight and make specific recommendations that drive business decisions.

  • Create, improve, and maintain financial metrics, reports and scorecards

  • Evaluating and quantifying promotional opportunities within the business to drive ROI-positive outcomes

  • Own the month end close process for marketing spend across all business teams

  • Communicating business results to director- and executive-level leadership in business reviews

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

  • MBA, or CFA

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
