Nordstrom Senior Financial Analyst - Loyalty in Seattle, Washington

Job Description

The candidate will be responsible for supporting the financial processes and cross-functional partnerships for the Nordy Club as we continue to build, scale, and optimize our Loyalty playbook at Nordstrom. This role combines P&L insights through the month-end close/forecast and annual budget processes; and strategic partnership within the Loyalty organization to influence and support executive business decisions. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally, while balancing a strong attention to detail with business storytelling skills. The candidate will possess an aptitude for continuous improvement and an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

A day in the life…

  • Analyze and present Loyalty performance through reporting on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis to ensure transparency and accountability

  • Manage key processes and provide business insights and storylines related to the monthly reporting of close results, forecast and the annual budget

  • Partner across Marketing, Analytics and Finance to anticipate future business challenges and opportunities, develop financial models for new strategies

  • Perform ad hoc analyses and special projects, synthesize and clearly communicate findings to support executive-level decisions

  • Proactively improve existing reporting, forecasting and budgeting processes

You own this if you have…

  • 5+ years of related experience

  • BA/BS Degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Proven experience in analysis, modeling, and reporting financial performance, with a strong sense of curiosity

  • Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and timelines

  • Excellent computer skills including Excel and PowerPoint, experience with Oracle-Essbase and SQL a plus

  • Ability to independently develop processes and deliverables from general direction

  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Attention to detail, data integrity and accuracy
