Nordstrom Senior Financial Analyst - Loyalty in Seattle, Washington
The candidate will be responsible for supporting the financial processes and cross-functional partnerships for the Nordy Club as we continue to build, scale, and optimize our Loyalty playbook at Nordstrom. This role combines P&L insights through the month-end close/forecast and annual budget processes; and strategic partnership within the Loyalty organization to influence and support executive business decisions. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally, while balancing a strong attention to detail with business storytelling skills. The candidate will possess an aptitude for continuous improvement and an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
A day in the life…
Analyze and present Loyalty performance through reporting on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis to ensure transparency and accountability
Manage key processes and provide business insights and storylines related to the monthly reporting of close results, forecast and the annual budget
Partner across Marketing, Analytics and Finance to anticipate future business challenges and opportunities, develop financial models for new strategies
Perform ad hoc analyses and special projects, synthesize and clearly communicate findings to support executive-level decisions
Proactively improve existing reporting, forecasting and budgeting processes
You own this if you have…
5+ years of related experience
BA/BS Degree in Accounting or Finance
Proven experience in analysis, modeling, and reporting financial performance, with a strong sense of curiosity
Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and timelines
Excellent computer skills including Excel and PowerPoint, experience with Oracle-Essbase and SQL a plus
Ability to independently develop processes and deliverables from general direction
Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail, data integrity and accuracy
