Amazon Senior Financial Analyst, Fire TV in Seattle, Washington

Amazon seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to be a key member in our Fire TV Finance team. Over the past decade Amazon has developed a number of market-leading, innovative, and fast-growing digital and mobile businesses including Kindle, Kindle Fire Tablets, Fire TV, and Echo. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Amazon Fire TV team featuring the 2K, 4K and Omni smart TVs portfolio. We are looking for an entrepreneurial minded candidate who wants to join one of the most innovative businesses at Amazon.

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will work with a cross-functional team including demand generation, marketing, product development, and supply planning to help develop and execute a multi-year strategy to continue growing the Fire TV business globally. The successful candidate will have shown experience in supporting decision making in rapidly evolving environments and will involve collaboration across different business partners, therefore requiring strong interpersonal and communication skills. This role requires a self starter with strong business partnership, a keen attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Key job responsibilities

  • Partner across business teams to forecast and report on weekly/monthly/quarterly financial performance

  • Develop and maintain mechanisms for supply and inventory planning

  • Partner with horizontal Finance teams to drive free cash flow initiatives and forecasts

  • Developing success metrics, dynamic scenario models, and core financial insights to drive decision-making with business partners

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Knowledge of Tableau

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
