Our Shipping and Delivery Support (SDS) organization which is one of the businesses within broader Amazon Customer Service (ACS) currently has an opening for a Senior Financial Analyst with proven business partnering experience to support the Defect Elimination program for SDS, in which the goal is to drive Amazon towards a perfect customer experience by eliminating defects and in turn generate concession savings to Amazon.

In this role, you will work in close partnerships with multiple cross-functional business and finance teams to define how concessions are measured, provide analytical support, implement financial controllership, and influence prioritization of defect elimination projects. You will also participate and contribute towards standardization and automation efforts for the CS Finance team and participate in finance leadership level projects. Successful candidate possesses strong financial acumen, is collaborative and comfortable with ambiguity, and thinks big to establish standards and drive worldwide stakeholder engagement models with scale in mind. Key job responsibilities

• Supports the development of a Defect and Concessions Framework with the aim to provide a holistic view of process or downstream defects that lead to negative customer experiences

• Drive finance validation of defect elimination and concessions cost reduction projects

• Own, enhance, and report the calculation of concession costs for Amazon Consumer.

• Help reduce concessions by providing visibility of concession costs to defect owners and finance counterparts to drive alignment of financial benefits and project prioritization.

• Develop and enhance the existing analytical framework to help analyze, identify, and surface emerging trends

• Collaborate with regional CS finance and operations team to share concessions key metrics and business insights

• Partner with BI and Accounting to maintain controllership over concession data integrity.

  • Perform financial analysis, financial modeling and lead financial planning and reporting for the region.

  • Work with functional leaders and other finance functions to build scalable financial processes and metrics

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
