Description
Amazon is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) to join the Alexa Customers & Technology (ACT) finance team. The SFA will be a key member of the ACT finance team, providing finance support to business partners. This is an exciting opportunity to join at an early stage for one of the most innovative businesses at Amazon.
The right candidate have be self-motivated, have strong business judgment and considerable financial acumen. This role requires the ability to interact and collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, sales & marketing, engineering and finance teams.
The candidate must be able to balance challenging priorities, meet tight deadlines and provide insights & recommendations backed by data driven analysis.
Key job responsibilities
Key Job Responsibilities:
• Own financial reporting across Echo product, sales & marketing organizations for Opex, Capex, AWS and Headcount
• Drive annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process, perform month end close related activities, including variance commentary, R&O updates, etc
• Provide strong controllership environment and improve controls over operational and financial metrics
• Act as primary goals contact across finance and business team, owning goal reviews, driving standardization and enforcing best practices
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
5+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
