About the role:

As a CBRE Sr. Events and Marketing Coordinator, you must be curious, collaborative, passionate about social engagement and culture, and a natural problem solver who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role is at the forefront of delivering elevated experiences as a service leader for marketing, community relations, social media, and vendor relations.

What you'll do:

  • Assists with pre-event planning, budgeting, coordination, and execution of internal/external facing events.

  • Identify new event partners, cultivate future opportunities, and coordinate with existing partnerships to meet client goals.

  • Work closely with the Management team and client on event budget creation, for timely delivery, and approval. Maintain accurate records and manage event spend to meet budget expectations.

  • Create, maintain, and deliver marketing materials, including client and company brand compliance. Customize tenant communications, advertisements, and resource guides to support event programming and execution. Maintain accurate and relevance of resources over time.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all meetings and events.

  • Oversee events on the day of, including problem-solving, welcoming guests, coordinating and participating in event set-up, communicating with staff, organizing vendors, supporting attendee/speaker requests, and coordinating/participating in tear-down.

  • Collect and organize feedback to provide data informing program performance indicators. Responsible for post-event reporting and bi-weekly client updates.

  • Work closely with clients, vendors, and team members to ensure that all services are coordinated for guests including arrival experience, transportation, signage, booths/displays, special needs requirements, printing, and event security.

  • Maintain outlines of space configurations, décor possibilities, audio-visual requirements and limitations for each event space, transportation options, and other event-related items as needed. May manage a small inventory of event supplies (i.e. furniture, linens, décor, audio-visual items, etc.).

  • Create event timelines and deliver to event stakeholders. Accountable for ensuring deadlines are met on time and with high quality.

  • Coordinate master meeting and events calendar for event space. Communicate event schedules with all required partners and service providers.

  • Partner with the client in the development and curation of engaging social-first content.

  • Collaborate with client (and third-party PR firm) in creation of monthly social media content calendar, including content alignment with building event calendar.

  • Collaborate on influencer selection to ensure influencer content aligns with social media needs, brand priorities, and key seasonal stories.

  • Assist with the development, planning, and implementation of social media and influencer marketing campaigns.

  • Establish and maintain a community outreach program, enhancing the building offerings and visibility to the greater community.

  • Actively engage with social communities on behalf of the brand, building relationships between users and tenants, and identifying new opportunities between all parties.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

  • HS Diploma or GED required.

  • A minimum of 3+ years of prior work experience in event coordination, retail, restaurant, customer service, or other hospitality experience preferred.

  • A good understanding of project management, attention to detail, and ability to partner with various stakeholders.

  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and Correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisors. Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.

  • Comfortable meeting and engaging with new people.

  • Warm and engaging demeanor. Ability to assess circumstances, empathize, and offer help.

  • Utilize a high level of attention to detail as well as strong interpersonal skills.

  • Have a positive attitude and a strong sense of urgency in resolving any issues that may arise.

  • Requires intermediate knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.

  • Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills.

  • Good organizational skills and high attention to detail. Must work well under pressure with multiple deadlines and demonstrate a proactive approach to routine and non-routine occurrences.

  • Willingness to learn how to use new technologies, and work in multiple software platforms and applications.

  • Ability to work flexible work schedules based on business needs.

  • Ability to work requiring significant walking or through other means of mobility. Ability to work in a standing position for long periods. Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push, and/or pull and frequently lift up to 35 lbs. and occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbs.

*Washington Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The salary range for the Senior Events and Marketing Coordinator position is $65,000 - $75,000. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
