DNV Senior Engineers - Multiple Openings in Seattle, Washington
DNV ENERGY USA, Inc. is seeking multiple Senior Engineers to work at our office in Seattle, Washington.Job Duties: Develop and validate power system models in ETAP and conduct technical analyses including Load Flow, Short Circuit, Protection & Coordination, Arc Flash, and Harmonic Analysis for power system networks in accordance with American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) standards. Execute generation interconnection studies in PSS/E, ASPEN in accordance with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) compliance requirements or ISOs’ interconnection or transmission/distribution planning guidelines. Produce and review quality technical reports and presentations for both internal and external audience. Develop and modify automation scripts to enhance the efficiency, speed and accuracy of technical simulations. Contribute to team research and innovation activities in terms of development of new techniques and analytical tools to further performance in terms of efficiency and capability improvements. Prepare responses to Statement of Qualifications (SOQ’s) and Request for Proposals (RFP’s) for new tenders/bids/opportunities.Position QualificationsMain Requirements: At least a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field of study and 5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer or closely related occupation.
