The Team

The Device Management & Endpoint Security team sits within IT division, its mission is to provide leading services in support of foundation end users through device management platforms, which encompasses enterprise management of mobile and computing devices, application and hardware deployments. Working with IT teams and product owners to provide the foundation and its staff with a predictable, integrated, and secure experience on all devices.

Your Role

As a Senior Engineer of Device Management & Endpoint Security, you will design, build, implement, support, and optimize Device Management & Endpoint Security systems and solutions. Demonstrating your deep technical expertise, you will ensure secure, scalable, maintainable, and efficient operations. Your responsibilities include designing and configuring technical solutions based on defined requirements while adhering to best practices and quality standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Solution Design: Develop solutions that align IT services with business goals, balancing technical and non-technical considerations, and helping team members understand the impact and value of different alternatives.

  • Security and Compliance: Design and maintain user security systems, conduct system monitoring, and support compliance documentation and audits. Proactively seek opportunities for process improvement by incorporating standard methodologies into daily operations.

  • Expertise Development: Build and maintain deep expertise in the domain, enabling you to assess solution options, evaluate security changes, anticipate system impacts, and produce insightful reports.

  • Continuous Improvement: Work with management to chip in to annual planning and project forecasting, and continuously find opportunities for improvement within the team and across the business.

  • Agile Project Execution: Estimate effort, commit to work within an Agile framework, and engage in designing, system configuration changes, and testing. Collaborate with team members and partners on change management and coordinate deployment with Quality Engineering to ensure solutions meet requirements.

  • Documentation and Transition: Ensure that all applications and features are well-documented and transitioned to operations in a way that guarantees high maintainability and supportability. Coordinate across technology teams to achieve project goals and collective success.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Represent technical work across partners and teams, giving to requirements assessment, solution design, and feasibility analysis. Ensure that solutions adhere to robust, scalable, and security-focused design standards.

  • Industry Monitoring: Stay informed about industry trends and advancements, finding opportunities to enhance the team’s solutions with best practices and innovative technologies.

  • Vendor and Operations Management: Be responsible for and coordinate vendor activities related to Device Management & Endpoint Security, ensuring smooth and secure operations.

  • Cultural Support: Promote an inclusive team culture by modeling positive behaviors and actions, and advancing issues to appropriate partners in a timely manner.

    Your Experience

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (at least 10 years' experience in Endpoint Management Engineering).

  • Relevant Certifications: Microsoft Certified in Endpoint Manager (Intune), Modern Desktop Administrator/Associate, CompTIA Security+, and Tanium Certified Operator or higher.

  • Proficiency: Scripting languages (PowerShell) for automation and orchestration of endpoint management tasks.

  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience in Device Management & Endpoint Security engineering, with proficiency in Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), Defender for Endpoint, and Tanium EDR/XEM.

  • MDM Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of mobile device management (MDM) technologies.

  • Team Collaboration: Shown experience working effectively within a team environment and across teams to ensure flawless integration of IT applications, systems, platforms, and infrastructure.

  • Platform Design: Expertise in designing and supporting reliable, performant, and secure enterprise-grade endpoint management platforms.

  • Agile and SDLC Knowledge: Strong understanding of Agile delivery, Scrum/Kanban, and project management processes.

  • Translating Requirements: Ability to translate business requirements into application functionality, effectively estimate tasks and plan within Scrum delivery activities, and create clear, maintainable documentation.

The salary range for this role is $151,200 to $226,800 USD. We recognize high-wage market differences in Seattle and Washington D.C., where our offices are located. The range for this role in these locations is $164,000 to $247,100 USD. As a mission-driven organization, we strive to balance competitive pay with our mission. New hires salaries are typically between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint. Actual placement in the range will depend on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, and expertise, as evaluated during the interview process.
