This position reports to the Vehicle Engineer Section in Blue Origin's Advanced Concepts and Engineering (ACE) business unit. As part of a hardworking team of diverse engineers, you will support all aspects of the flight vehicle avionics system include accountability and oversight of cost, schedule, technical design, and risk management. Your responsibilities will extend from the component sub-assemblies to hardware-in-the-loop testing in preparation for flight vehicle assembly. Your efforts will further the design of a Blue Origin funded versatile spacecraft that will serve a wide variety of customers. On this program, you will experience the full lifecycle from formulation to flight in a short time, while achieving historic milestones! Passion for our mission and vision is required! Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Leading the Avionics engineering team and technical authority of the avionics hardware design. Assist the program in developing and maintaining technical, cost, and schedule baselines. Develop robust plans meeting deliverables and manage to the key operating metrics - including technical, cost, schedule, and risk Provide technical leadership of the highest caliber as you coordinate with supporting Blue Origin business units and teams Support risk analyses, failure modes effects and criticality analyses (FMECA), design for test/manufacture/cost (DFx), and root-cause analysis of test discrepancies. Utilize good engineering and business judgement to ensure the most efficient and effective product is designed, manufactured, procured, tested, qualified, and delivered Minimum Qualifications: Minimum BS Degree in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, or related Engineering field. 8+ years of demonstrated experience in relevant areas of engineering operations Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Experience with analog, digital and mixed-signal circuit analysis, simulation, design, test, troubleshooting, signal integrity, power, and grounding and general board layout principles Knowledge of signal integrity, power, grounding, and general board layout principles Familiarity with amplifiers, analog-to-digital converters, power supplies, and analog circuits Avionics hardware component design and assembly experience Avionics hardware and software integration experience Excellent written and oral communication skills Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum Preferred Qualifications: M.S. or PhD in the
