Nordstrom Senior Director, Technology Platform Strategy in Seattle, Washington

This is a hybrid, Seattle based opportunity.

Who you are…

The Technology Platform Strategy Sr. Director will be responsible for defining and executing the strategy and roadmap for our cutting-edge technology Platform. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering, Operations, Product, and Infrastructure, to ensure successful platform development and developer adoption.

A day in the life…

  • Define and articulate the strategic vision and drive alignment with the company's goals and market opportunities.

  • Spearhead the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to enhance and optimize technology resource allocations

  • Gather customer insights, and analyze existing landscape to inform product positioning and feature prioritization, with emphasis on creating platform Leverage for application teams

  • Develop and maintain a detailed strategic roadmap for platform that reflects the strategic direction and release plan.

  • Collaborate with engineering and operational teams to translate product strategy into execution plans.

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Platform, analyzing product performance and adoption while driving continuous improvement.

  • Serve as the internal and platform evangelist, providing platform-related expertise and support to stakeholders and customers.

  • Manage platform-related communication, including announcements, release notes, and customer feedback.

  • Foster strong relationships with application development teams and key business partners to gather feedback and identify opportunities for platform enhancements and new features.

  • Utilize strong leadership, technical acumen, and the ability to navigate complex technology landscapes

You own this if you have…

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Master's degree or MBA preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in platform technology, with a proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful delivery.

  • Excellent Leadership traits, with proven track record of building and leading strong teams

  • Strong technical background with experience in software development and web technologies.

  • Excellent problem-solving, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences.

  • Experience with agile development methodologies and working with agile teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Washington: $221,000 - $365,000 Annually

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more. Eligibility requirements may apply based on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.
