Position Overview The Sr. Director, Software Product Management leads a team of software product managers, product owners, UX designers, and IT business analysts that is the primary interface point between technology organization and internal/external business stakeholders dependent on Adaptive technology solutions, responsible for distilling and translating user needs into actionable software/IT requirements and developing schedules and releases that support business priorities. This role is responsible for ensuring that the efforts coordinated by the Technology Product Management team are in sync with the broader strategic goals and initiatives across Adaptive. This role will work with the engineering/IT teams in leading ongoing releases of the existing technology solutions and bringing enhancements and new solutions to market. Open to remote. Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions *Be a critical member of the Technology Leadership Team to co-drive Agile transformation, platform transformation, and IT digital transformation across the organization. *Play a key change agent to lead agile product management transformation and define the software product manager’s and IT business analyst’s roles & responsibilities in an agile environment. *Lead, define, represent, and communicate software/IT product strategy and roadmap to all stakeholders. *Perform software product lifecycle management from concept to launch of the product(s) across all software products/product lines. *Compile and manage a comprehensive list of all technology projects, and work with relevant stakeholders to set and communicate the right project priorities and implementation cost analysis. *Establish and monitor KPIs for software products, IT services, and technology product management team. *Promote customer centricity mindset and introduce modern product management best practices. *Influence and support business/commercial product management team to set overall product strategy, create sustainable business model, and conduct CX studies and ROI analysis. *Understand and translate user needs into actionable technical specifications. *Work with relevant stakeholders to create and manage a product backlog for each project or product or platform; Conduct backlog grooming regularly. *Break down product backlog into sprint backlog and enforce DoR (Definition of Ready) rigor; Publish Agile Product Roadmap. *Establish the DoD acceptance criteria; Review and approve sprint deliverables based on predefined DoD acceptance criteria. *Manage the interdependencies between Software/IT efforts and those of other departments in Adaptive to ensure effective and efficient execution of business priorities. *Interact with internal and external Adaptive stakeholders and customers. *Prioritize work across stakeholders in support of business priorities.
