Position Summary:

The Senior Director of Cell Therapy Materials Planning & Management manages global planning, purchasing, logistics, and related storage capacity requirements for manufacturing Bill of Materials (BOM) and lab Quality Bill of Materials (QBOM) to ensure timely availability and target inventories for global cell therapy clinical and commercial manufacturing and operational responsibility for Dexter Seattle materials & warehouse operations supporting Dexter CTD/R&ED lab functions. This role will partner with BPO to develop and deploy business process capability that streamlines work across roles and functions. This role requires close working relationships with team members across different functions and at different levels within the organization. Strong leadership with an innate ability to collaborate and build relationships is critical.

The Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development & management of buying, storage, and use strategies for direct raw materials used in cell therapy product manufacturing & development.

  • Ensure appropriate inventory and supply to support uninterrupted manufacturing, including establishing inventory targets and monitoring of safety stocks.

  • Optimize cell therapy global raw material supply chains & operations network in partnership with other regions and strategic sourcing/procurement.

  • Plan and own the strategy & implementation roadmap for the storage/warehousing of raw materials.

  • Oversight of internal warehouses at North America manufacturing sites & 3PLs for above site projects, initiatives, and strategy, and alignment of site processes to global processes.

  • Accountable for managing the organization including: raw materials planning, purchasing, warehouse capacity, and above site logistics teams for production materials

  • Establish and track key metrics & performance measures

  • Develop harmonized materials planning & management processes in partnership with BPO(s), site supply chain, and other functions, including MRP.

  • Manage escalated risks and issues in frozen period and 36-month planning horizon in alignment with S&OP process. Proactively manage inventory positions, projections, and supplier delivery & capacity risks.

  • Lead short and medium-term planning analysis to identify future supplier and storage requirements to support strategic objectives.

  • Act as source of knowledge in areas of supply chain best practices and methodologies. Integrate best practices with business processes to enhance supply chain efficiencies
