Amazon Senior Designer, Amazon Private Brands in Seattle, Washington

Description

The WW APB Marketing Organization is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Sr. Designer to develop innovative creative to drive awareness, engagement, and conversion across Amazon Private Brands Detail Pages; focused on Amazon Basics and Amazon Essentials.

In this role, you will create design guidance and lead adaption across all creative assets needed for the Detail Pages of Amazon’s two core brands (Amazon Basics and Amazon Essentials). This includes wire-framing, developing style guides, and the delivery of guidance and assets. It is a hands-on creative role that requires high-judgement as well as a high level of execution against visual standards, direction of production design, and support of creative leads.

The ideal candidate has a strong visual and design background with a passion for and knowledge of contemporary brands. They will have experience in building design systems for consumer brands, e-commerce design, and designing for Amazon site specific placements. Their experience will demonstrate proven ability to deliver cohesive on-brand creative across multiple channels and scale work with unparalleled attention to detail. They will have a high degree of ownership and integrity; they will be strong problem solvers with the ability to think critically and proactively.

Key job responsibilities

• Help define and evolve the Amazon Basics and Amazon Essentials brand guidelines for Detail Pages to enable consistent brand execution across global markets

• Own projects across Detail Pages for Amazon Basics and Amazon Essentials, from design to delivery.

• Work from creative briefs alongside Creative Directors and Copy Directors to translate marketing strategies to creative execution.

• Identify opportunities to incorporate emerging trends and digital innovations into creative solutions.

• Collaborate closely with internal creative, copy, marketing, and project management teams to ensure work is delivered at a high-quality and on time.

• Provide direction and mentorship to production teams on brand manual adaption design.

• Collaborate with internal counterparts in bringing to life Detail Pages, which fuse elevated storytelling with best-in-class digital commerce.

• Drive Improvements based on data and insights

• Raises the bar for design, layout, typography, and branding.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Design or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in a creative & design role, at least 3 of which involve experience with brand design and art direction

  • Strong proficiency in design/presentation and tools (specifically InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Figma)

  • Work samples online or PDF, including at least 3 multi-component projects which demonstrate a dedication to high-quality creative, strategic vision, concept development, and high-quality production

  • Fluency with digital art direction and production, including familiarity with post-production editing and retouching

  • Detailed, hands-on experience with typography and image standards for web

  • In-depth knowledge of design strategy and building brand experiences

  • Excellent verbal and written skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated business acumen and customer-centricity

  • Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently

  • Effective cross-team collaborator that delivers with agility across multiple, complex creative projects, while meeting deadlines

  • Experience developing on- and off-site creative for e-commerce or Omnichannel

  • Expertise in art direction, photo briefing, and on- and off-figure photography

  • Knowledge of UX and front-end web design processes and best practices

  • Knowledge of video storyboarding, editing, and development

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $96,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
