Amazon's Legal Department is looking for a talented privacy and regulatory attorney to lead privacy support for our Consumer Devices business. This is a management position that is responsible for shaping privacy across a broad range of devices and digital services, working closely with business teams to advise on global privacy laws and regulations, and providing expertise to a diverse group of stakeholders. As a subject-matter expert, you will consult directly with lawyers, business leaders, public policy and public relations teams, and work directly with engineers to help shape the development of some of our newest and most innovative projects.

The successful candidate must be inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology, enjoy working hard and being continually challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.

Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years of legal experience

• Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent

• Experience in technology and commercial transactions or businesses

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working closely with and advising senior executives of an organization or equivalent

• Experience working independently and directly with all levels of legal and business partners or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $146,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $272,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
