The Sr. Contract Manager is responsible for the entire contract lifecycle, including sourcing, contract redlining, contract management, and ongoing supplier relationship management for small, medium, and large-sized suppliers that provide employee benefits, in addition to other HR, Tax, Treasury and other corporate-based service agreements.
The Sr. Contract Manager understands the needs of business and functional partners to maximize performance and build effective working relationships. Motivates and persuades others toward increased performance in pursuit of common goals.
The Sr. Contract Manager is skilled in sourcing, including the development of RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs. This includes the facilitation of internal stakeholder evaluations of supplier responses and offerings, leading contract negotiations, and facilitating the supplier selection process.
Required skills also include contract administration and risk management. Knowledge of contractual terms and conditions with the ability to redline and author contractual language is required for multiple types of agreements including MSAs, BAAs, SOWs, service agreements, etc. Interaction and collaboration with inside/external legal counsel is also available as a resource to this role.
The Sr. Contract Manager has strong negotiation skills and leads contract negotiations in partnership with customers and senior management.
This role is responsible for on-going contract performance management to ensure that suppliers meet their contractual commitments (T&Cs, SOWs, SLA’s, governance/change management) and is involved in dispute resolution as occasionally required.
This role reports out of Weyerhaeuser’s Seattle Headquarters; short-term remote accommodations can be considered for qualified candidates who are willing to relocate to Seattle, Washington and that are currently based in one of the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia. This role is not open to those who live in other states or countries.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or higher is required
- CPM, CPSM, or other related certifications strongly preferred
Experience
- Minimum of eight plus years of relevant procurement and supplier management experience
- Procurement and supplier management experience with Human Resources and Employee Benefits highly preferred.
Technical Skills
- Prior experience managing entire contract lifecycle for large, complex, and high-risk enterprise supplier of human resources, treasury, and corporate services. (Contract, Performance, Relationship Management)
- Highly skilled in contract sourcing including the development of RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, BAAs, NDAs; also, has deep experience developing Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and Statements of Work (SOWs).
- High level negotiation skills; facilitates and leads complex contract negotiations in partnership with all levels of management. (Strategy, Forecasting, Financial Modeling, Risk Management, Compliance).

Compensation:This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $122,700 - $184,200 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 20% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Retirement:Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.
Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3 weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours, along with WA Paid Family & Medical Leave and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
