Job summaryThe AWS Product Marketing Team is seeking an experienced communications leader with a passion for technology to develop and disseminate content for AWS's top-level messaging and storylines. The right candidate has a strong technology background, excellent writing skills, a passion for storytelling, and experience in communications or product marketing. The Senior Communications Manager will work with cross-functional teams to develop top-notch written material and create standard-setting content that will advance the thought leadership position of AWS worldwide. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker who can become fluent in AWS's communication style, tone, and voice and then influence and maintain organization-wide consistency for written communication and message delivery. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, a collaborative working style, and ability to articulate the most complex technical concepts in terms that make sense to customers, press, and the public.Strong preference for this position to be in Seattle WA, but open to other locations. Relocation offered from within the US only.Key job responsibilities* Working with stakeholders across AWS to develop content for a variety of media-including global media publications (e.g. The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, etc.), web, events, and blog posts.* Providing and pursuing new ideas for using storytelling to build thought leadership for AWS.* Staying connected to business trends and helping ensure that AWS stories are relevant to our customers and other audiences.* Supporting a variety of AWS Marketing teams in developing high-quality content for AWS owned and paid media channels.* Providing writing support as needed for AWS Marketing projects.* Collecting storytelling best practices and creating mechanisms for documenting and sharing them within AWS.* Working with AWS account teams to ensure that customer stories are integrated into thought leadership materials in a way that is credible and compelling.* Delivering high-quality written work on deadline and with the support of relevant AWS stakeholders.About the teamInclusive Team CultureHere at AWS, we embrace our differences.
