Amazon Web Services (AWS) products and development team for IT Services is seeking a talented Business Analyst with the passion and strategic vision to build and grow IT Products/Services insights and shape the future of products and services delivered to hundreds of thousands of Amazonians and the IT Services business.

As a Business Analyst you will work with product management, software development, business intelligence, data science, and engineering to enable decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources, compiling it into digestible and actionable formats, and partnering with the team to create key performance indicators and new methodologies for measurement while translating data into actionable insights. You will be a key participant in strategic and tactical planning discussions, helping identify new areas of opportunity to automate and better serve Amazonians, while developing big ideas to drive customer insights and shape the direction of IT products and services. This role spans all of Amazon’s IT Services products including self-service, support engagement, automation, and asset management. This is a visible role in an exciting space and growing team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Business, STEM, Statistics, Finance or a related field

· 5+ years of experience in a business analyst, data analyst, statistical analysis or similar analytical role

· Experience conducting large scale data analysis to support business decision making

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact, communicate, present, and influence within multiple levels of the organization.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Advanced technical or business degree (MS or MBA)

· Ability to dive deep into technical concepts with successful past delivery of technical user-facing products

· Working knowledge of data mining and experience with SQL, data warehousing, statistical analysis tools, Microsoft Excel, and data visualization tools such as Tableau and Amazon QuickSight; experience extracting and processing data using SQL and Excel

· Experience working in large data environments
