This Sr Business Analyst supporting our dropship program, also known internally as VIF, Vendor Inventory Fulfillment, will contribute to REI’s success by informing strategic decisions and plans using empirical data and systems thinking. This position will work collaboratively across REI’s value chain to evaluate our business systems, processes, and industrial designs ability to meet our strategic objectives. You will model how changing business strategies will impact these systems and analyze potential solutions that improve our ability to meet our strategic outcomes.

The Sr Business Analyst will be expected to complete analysis at a level of detail appropriate for the level of complexity and risk that maximizes our speed through the decision-making process but protects the organization. The Sr Business Analyst will need the ability to communicate complex processes and analysis to cross divisional stakeholders including REI’s Senior Leadership Team. Additionally, the Sr Business Analyst will be a critical resource in supporting REI’s journey of developing advanced analytics capabilities and will have a degree of ownership of enhancing the VIF/dropship operational and process infrastructure.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the vendor onboarding process to connect vendors with DSCO and lead any Q&A issues

  • Accountable, in partnership with finance and OMS, for visibility and resolution of any invoice issues to include communicating with vendors.

  • Ensures customer service levels are met through accountability for the review and resolution of any vendor performance issues (on time shipping SLA’s) escalating to merchandising partners as needed

  • Drives revenue generation through accountability for knowledge and analysis of product performance (review of item performance and influence Merchant decision making)

  • Serves as DSCO account owner including troubleshooting between REI and DSCO (order fulfillment) systems

  • Develops, presents, and recommends plans, solutions, and strategies associated to effective Sales and Operations Planning, Long Range Strategic Planning, and support Budgeting Process

  • Consults on VIF budget planning and organizational awareness

  • Consults with cross divisional partners to align VIF annual SKU count growth with co-op strategies and influences how teams prepare to support growth

  • Analyzes complex business system performance using data from internal and external sources that are structured and unstructured, to provide insight to decision-makers.

  • Identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences. Identify key drivers and use results to recommend changes and identify areas for improvement

  • Provide consultation and participate on cross-functional teams to address business issues. Will lead cross functional teams on small and medium size projects.

  • Architects and directly produces datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools that improves the enterprises ability to generate performance insights

Required Qualifications

  • Familiarity with planning, forecasting, transportation, inventory management, and strategic sourcing

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Supply Chain from an accredited institution

  • 5+ years experience data mining and extraction skills like; SQL, Python, R

  • Demonstrates a strong competency of Statistics

  • Has developed business cases that use hard data analysis and demonstrates competency with key corporate financial principles such as IRR, ROI, Depreciation, etc…

  • Ability to analyze and/or design processes that can scale to meet objectives as well as develop measurements to control these processes

  • Show the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization/time management and problem-solving skills

  • Expertise in Excel, Tableau, and/or other analytical and data visualization platforms

  • Proven track record of cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders that have resulted in high customer satisfaction

  • Actively participates and collaborates with others on one's own team and across REI for the achievement of business goals.

  • Flexible in one's viewpoints and positions in order to support the direction taken by others at REI.

  • Uses business knowledge, innovative thinking, and sound judgment in the solution of problems or the pursuit of business opportunities.

  • Consolidates information from various sources including feedback from others to reach sound decisions.

  • Considers the ultimate impact of decisions and actions on internal and external customers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters in a relevant field like Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics

  • 7+ years experience in three or more of the following areas of discipline: Transportation Management; Trade & Safety Compliance; Forecast and Replenishment Methodologies; Manufacture or Brand Management Planning; Distribution / Material Handling; Retail Store Product Logistics

  • Certification in Lean / Six Sigma

Pay Range

$83,700.00 - $134,000.00 per year
