The Risk Management team is looking for an Audit and Compliance Manager to join the Global Auto and Liability Claims team. This role will apply broad operational knowledge and sound business judgment to execute audits across our businesses. We don't want someone who can just find risks. This person will translate risks into business issues. You are an effective project manager that conducts risk assessments and audits from beginning to end, and often managing multiple projects at once. You are responsible for prioritizing audits based on risks, findings and recommendations in tune with our corporate strategy and regulations.Specific job responsibilities* Work independently but collaborate with our internal and external teams, including our Third Party Administrators (TPAs), to perform risk assessments and deliver high quality, high-impact financial, operational, and compliance audits and advisory projects.* Assist in developing audit strategies and establishing relationships with leaders across Amazon businesses, finance, and legal.* Dive deep into the details to develop meaningful findings and recommend root cause remediation.* Participate in discussions with multiple stakeholders to agree on appropriate solutions and verify that risks are mitigated appropriately.* Provide thorough audit finding reports to senior management and business partners, including highlights, lowlights and recommendations.* Stay attuned to changing regulations and internal performance to recommend changes to audit plans when required.A successful candidate will have the skills to:* Perform well as an individual contributor and quickly learn our business while building relationships with stakeholders.* Be able to understand complex business processes and deal well with a high degree of ambiguity.* Support implementation and execution of standardized programs.* Participate in audits, lead audits and coach other team members where needed.* Learn quickly, work independently, remain flexible with the ability to prioritize workloads, and maintain a high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.* Be an excellent writer who can clearly and succinctly communicate complicated issues in business terms.* Recommend adjustments to audit programs.* Manage incoming project requests and track completion.* Comfortable speaking ad hoc in front of large groups of people.* Bachelor's degree in a related field in Accounting, Finance, IT, or similar field* 3+ years' experience with Accounting, Auditing, Consulting or Finance roles, showing progression in areas for responsibility* 5+ years' experience in risk management, or compliance* Relevant certifications (CPA equivalent, CIA, CISA, CISSP, CFE)* Strong risk management experience, including: performing assessments and audits, designing controls, managing enterprise control frameworks, and prioritizing riskAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
