Security Engineer - Zscaler

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled engineer to join our team on a short-term contract basis to implement Zscaler into our AWS environment. This project is critical for enhancing our security posture and optimizing network performance across our cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with our IT and security teams to understand requirements and design specifications for Zscaler implementation.

• Configure and deploy Zscaler components within AWS, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

• Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve any issues related to Zscaler deployment.

• Document the implementation process, including configurations, troubleshooting steps, and best practices.

• Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal teams regarding Zscaler functionality and maintenance.

Requirements:

• Proven experience implementing Zscaler in AWS environments, including hands-on configuration and deployment.

• Strong understanding of AWS services and networking fundamentals.

• Familiarity with security principles and best practices, particularly in cloud environments.

• Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Security Specialty).

• Experience with other cloud security solutions and technologies.

• Prior experience working in Agile or similar project management methodologies.

Contract Details:

• Duration: Short-term contract, estimated at 3-4 months

• Location: Hybrid, 3-days on-site in Seattle.

• Start Date: Immediate availability preferred.
