One of our clients in Seattle, WA is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with the following skills and experience: Seeking a talented and motivated Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a strong background in Single Page Applications (SPAs), TypeScript, and Node.js. The ideal candidate will have a passion for ensuring high-quality software products and experience in modern web technologies. Must-Haves for the SDET Position: 1 Strong Programming Skills: * Expertise in TypeScript and JavaScript is critical, as the role involves working with modern web technologies. * Proficiency in Node.js and familiarity with related frameworks like Express. * Experience with Single Page Applications (SPAs): * Strong understanding of SPAs and experience with frameworks like Vue.js, React, or Angular. * Ability to develop and test SPAs effectively. * Test Automation Proficiency: * Hands-on experience with automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Jest, or Playwright. * Capability to design and implement automated test frameworks for frontend and backend systems. * Performance and Load Testing Expertise: * Familiarity with performance and API testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner. * Ability to conduct API, functional, and load testing to ensure application stability and scalability. * Agile Testing Mindset: * Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. * Experience collaborating with developers and QA teams to bridge gaps in testing practices and build a robust testing culture. * Problem-Solving and Debugging: * Strong analytical skills for identifying root causes of issues and working with development teams to resolve defects. * Testing Gaps and Process Improvement: * Proven ability to identify testing gaps, implement improvements, and establish best practices for automation and QA processes. * Experience in fostering a testing-first culture and enhancing testing coverage within a team. Nice-to-Haves: 1 CI/CD Knowledge: * Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines, enhancing testing workflows. * Cloud Platform Exposure: * Understanding of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure to support scalable testing environments. * Team Collaboration: * Strong communication and ability to work cross-functionally with developers and QA teams to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle. * Challenge-Specific Skills: * Understanding how to tackle algorithmic challenges, such as optimizing object manipulation within arrays or implementing test coverage for such scenarios.
