WORK SCHEDULE

  • 4x10 shift schedule

  • Day shifts only (7:00am-5:30pm)

  • Monday-Friday; the exact days worked may vary by week

  • Our clinic is closed on nights, weekends, and holidays DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Center for Esophageal and Gastric Diseases (CEGS) is part of our Surgical Specialties Clinic. The CEGS Team provides specialized surgical consultations for the digestive tract, with a focus on the esophagus and the stomach. Our multidisciplinary team evaluates many symptoms, including those related to gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), esophageal and gastric cancer, hiatal and paraoesophageal hernias, achalasia, and esophageal diverticula. We also have the largest upper GI physiology lab in the country, which provides expert disease assessments and assures the most accurate treatment decisions.This is a procedural role that will operate in the absence of a provider. A high level of independence will be required. POSITION HIGHLIGHTSS

  • Perform outpatient esophageal and anorectal manometries, bravo capsule studies, and pH studies independent of a provider

  • Set up and take down special procedure rooms

  • Disinfect esophageal manometry probes according to protocol

  • Support eso-gastric patients across a broad age spectrum, ranging from late teens to geriatrics

  • As needed, support the clinic with phone triage and MyChart follow-up REQUIREMENTS

  • 2 years of current or recent procedural nursing experience

  • Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse license in Washington State
