We are currently offering a brand new RN Sign on bonus program. We are offering up to $10,000 sign on bonuses for experienced GI/Endoscopy RNs. This sign on bonus is pro-rated based on FTE.
We have a brand new part time (32 hours per week) procedural RN position available in our GI/Endoscopy clinic in Seattle. This part time position has an $8,000 sign on bonus for 32 hours per week. This position is (1 12-hr +2 10-hr shifts per week). Virginia Mason is recognized internationally for endoscopic treatment of gastroesophageal, hepatic and pancreaticobiliary disorders. Patients come from all over the world for treatment at Virginia Mason. Several endoscopic advances as well as novel therapeutic treatments are in use at Virginia Mason, including ERCP with endoscopic ultrasound. Together these modalities produce exquisite images of the biliary tree, pancreas, and liver, and allow "dual modality drainage" for severe cases of pancreatic necrosis as well as other pancreaticobiliary disorders. Virginia Mason has been ranked consistently among the top five medical centers in Washington state for treatment of GI disorders. In addition to these awards, Virginia Mason received five-star ratings for: gastrointestinal medical treatment; gastrointestinal procedures and surgeries; treatment of gastrointestinal bleed; treatment of bowel obstruction; and treatment of pancreatitis.
The Ambulatory Procedural Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high quality, skilled nursing services to assist patients to achieve optimum health, functional health status and safe passage while receiving an invasive or interventional procedure during an episodic or series of visits.
As an Ambulatory Procedural Registered Nurse you will:
Demonstrate technical expertise while supporting the patient and the care team during the episodic visit where interventions and procedures occur.
Use the nursing process to support a patient in achieving an optimal level of wellness as defined by the patient.
The Ambulatory Procedural Registered Nurse assists patients to achieve optimum functional health status and safe passage throughout their procedural experience.
Provides skilled assessment and triage, education, collaboration and coordination of healthcare and community resources,
The Ambulatory Procedural Registered Nurse assists patients/families, staff and systems to achieve high quality, evidence-based, cost-effective, and patient-focused outcomes.
Nursing care provided by the registered nurse reflects the nursing process through an integration of knowledge, skills, experience, and attitudes needed to meet the needs of patients and families.
Current Washington State licensure as an RN
CPR certification is required every two years
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
Strong patient assessment skills, ability to work collaboratively in team setting, current working knowledge of electronic medical records.
