We are currently offering a $10,000 sign on bonus for experienced procedural RNs. This sign on bonus is pro-rated for part time positions.

Responsibilities

This position will support our Cardiovascular Lab service line by providing RN supervision and support for a variety of diagnostic tests and procedures.

The services provided by the Cardiovascular Lab include:

  • 12-lead electrocardiograms (ECGs)

  • Transient arrhythmia monitors: Holter monitors or event monitors

  • Stress Echo

  • Dobutamine Stress Echo

  • Exercise treadmill test (ETT)

  • Nuclear Medicine stress tests

  • Transesophageal echo

  • Support for echocardiograms, cardiac rehabilitation, heart failure, and triage

Service line support includes Virginia Mason’s main campus in Seattle and one or two of our regional medical centers around the Puget Sound area.

The Ambulatory Interventional/Procedural Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high quality, skilled nursing services to assist patients to achieve optimum health, functional health status and safe passage while receiving an invasive or interventional procedure during an episodic or series of visits.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate technical expertise while supporting the patient and the care team during the episodic visit where interventions and procedures occur.

  • Use the nursing process to support a patient in achieving an optimal level of wellness as defined by the patient.

  • Assists patients to achieve optimum functional health status and safe passage throughout their procedural experience.

  • Provides skilled assessment and triage, education, collaboration and coordination of healthcare and community resources

  • Assists patients/families, staff and systems to achieve high quality, evidence-based, cost-effective, and patient-focused outcomes.

  • Nursing care provided by the registered nurse reflects the nursing process through an integration of knowledge, skills, experience, and attitudes needed to meet the needs of patients and families.

  • Please note, this position may require the RN to work in all the regional medical centers including Federal Way, Bellevue, Edmonds & Issaquah. In addition, our nurses rotate through Cardiac Rehab

Qualifications

  • Current Washington State licensure as an RN

  • CPR certification is required every two years

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing.

  • Strong patient assessment skills, ability to work collaboratively in team setting, current working knowledge of electronic medical records.
