Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse with our Post-Surgical Unit at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health you will be a part of a team responsible for caring for patients in one of their most vulnerable moments. As the expert on the front line of patient care, you will have the opportunity to provide input and insight in creating change, improving processes, and reshaping the way our patient care is delivered. Post-Surgical unit was awarded the Daisy award for the entire unit for excellence in care! The center of excellence for Bariatric surgery.
You’ll begin each shift by taking report from a nursing teammate before making your rounds. You will collaborate with other team members to provide the most positive patient experience possible.
To thrive in this role, you will utilize your skill, expertise, and critical thinking with care, compassion, and personal relationships to truly connect with patients.
You will also help to further our commitment to continuous improvement through our Virginia Mason Production System and our philosophy of empowering you to facilitate real change in the delivery of care.

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is a 336-bed non-profit teaching facility providing quality health care to patients and communities in and around Seattle Washington. Responsibilities include:
Provide high quality, skilled nursing services
Assists the patients to achieve optimum health and functional health status following an illness requiring hospitalization
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to prepare the patient and family for discharge to home or another setting for continued care
Monitor varied drips including Insulin

Qualifications
We are offering a generous sign on bonus to new hires who meet the following eligibility requirements.
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing
A current and valid Washington State Registered Nurse License
CPR certification
One year of recent Acute Care experience
