A day in the life…
The ideal Risk Analyst is motivated, results-oriented and committed to providing outstanding customer service every day in a self-insured and self-administered claims environment.
Responsible for all aspects of claim handling including customer service, investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and administration.
Assists with other claims-related support, investigations, regulatory matters, subpoenas, discovery, and invoicing.
You own this if you have…
Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal or insurance claims analyst/examiner
Minimum of 2+ years of experience working in customer service
Knowledge of tort, contract/indemnity and insurance issues, as well as medical and legal terminology
Prior experience with self-insured, self-administered employer preferred
Strong computer skills with general understanding of Microsoft Office and Outlook, and other Risk Management or claims or legal document management systems
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Understanding of retail and the service environment of Nordstrom
Ability to take responsibility and exercise good judgment consistent with Nordstrom’s high ethical standards
Excellent time-management skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize projects and meet deadlines
Proven analytical and organizational skills with robust attention to detail
Strong investigation skills
Professional, trustworthy and reliable
Ability to handle confidential information with respect and integrity
Expert in working in a team environment and independently
