Responsibilities

This position provides respiratory care to a diverse patient population. Care may include therapeutic, diagnostic, patient teaching, prevention, and patient assessment.

Qualifications

This position requires an understanding of respiratory physiology; comprehensive knowledge of ventilators and other technical equipment; a working knowledge of lab CXR data; and strong interpersonal skills.

An Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Respiratory Care Degree from a Regionally Accredited, and CoARC certified RT program. Hospital experience including one year in an Intensive Care or Critical Care Unit. The experience may include clinical experience obtained while enrolled in a Respiratory Therapy program.

Requires licensures as a Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner by the State of WA and active CPR/BLS certification.

Working as a Respiratory Therapist - Registered in the Hyperbaric department requires successful passing of a medical examination to determine physical ability to perform the essential duties of the position without hazard to self or others.

Prefer a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy (BSRT) or Bachelor of Applied Science in Respiratory Therapy (BASRT) form a Regionally Accredited, and COARC certified RT program.
