Seattle Children’s Hospital Respiratory Fit Test Technician in Seattle, Washington

Responsibilities: Conducts respirator fit test for tight-fitting respirators using quantitative (TSI Portacount) and qualitative (Bitrex, Saccharin) methods. Works closely with the Respiratory Protection Program (RPP) administrator and program manager. Maintains the equipment and supplies needed for fit testing. Maintains all records related to fit test. Some travel around the Puget Sound region will be required to perform Fit Testing at Children's regional locations. Must be able to wear a respirator routinely, for up to 8 hours/day. Requirements: Required Education/Experience: High School graduate or equivalent. Two (2) years experience in a position requiring strict adherence to standard work and detailed documentation. Required Credentials: Valid driver's license. Preferred: Experience performing respirator fit testing. Experience working in safety or environmental health. AAS or BS degree in safety, emergency management, environmental, sciences, industrial hygiene, OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 training certificate. Familiarity with OSHA regulations and compliance activities. Prior experience with respirator use and program coordination. Min to Max Hourly Salary: $21.94 - $32.90 /hr Min to Max Annual Salary: $45,635.20 - $68,432.00 /yr Salary Information: This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
