BENAROYA RESEARCH INSTITUTE Research Technician I in SEATTLE, Washington
The Bettelli laboratory{rel="nofollow"} at Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason is seeking a highly motivated Research Technician to support and perform laboratory procedures for biomedical research projects.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing laboratory reagents, chemicals, stocks, cultures and cell lines.
- Basic molecular biology (cloning, plasmid isolation, transformation, PCR).
- Multi-parameter flow cytometry to phenotype mouse and human cells.
- Working with mice, including immunization as required by the project.
- Preparing samples from human and mouse blood, and tissues using sterile technique.
- Maintain laboratory records by recording detailed data, analyze data and report data.
- Conduct lab inventory, complete purchase orders for hardware, glassware, and supplies.

Qualifications:
- BA/BS in a scientific field and basic laboratory skills required
- Must have basic mathematical, data recording, computer database, data and statistical analysis skills
- May require skill in animal surgery techniques
- Prior work in a laboratory environment preferred

Compensation
$22.46 to $31.89 per hour
