Seattle Children’s Hospital Research Scientist IV in Seattle, Washington

Responsibilities: Responsible to plan, design, and execute research development activities in support of funded research projects. Perform experimental procedures and make detailed observations; analyze and interpret data. Works closely with principal investigator on the development of technical proposals, presentations, manuscripts, and grants. Plans and conducts work requiring independent judgment in the evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation/modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. Uses a wide application of complex principles, theories, and concepts in specific scientific discipline. Requirements: Required Education/Experience: PhD or M.D. in Molecular or Cellular Biology, Biochemistry, or other closely related field. Minimum of four (4) years experience in required field of specialization. Prior experience with laboratory management or other relevant research field. Preferred: Prior teaching experience. Experience with all routine cellular and molecular experimental procedures. Experience with molecular biology techniques (Northern, Western, Southern, PCR and InSitu Hybridization techniques). Experience with statistics and relevant computer programs. Experience writing and editing manuscripts. Min to Max Hourly Salary: $48.91 - $73.36 /hr Min to Max Annual Salary: $101,732.80 - $152,588.80 /yr Salary Information: This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
