Meta Research Engineer, AI Specialist - FAIR in Seattle, Washington

Summary:

Meta is seeking an AI-Engineer to join our Fundamental AI Research Organization; (FAIR).Through specialized and domain-specific industry experience, both academic and production focused, your contributions here will influence some of the most exciting and massive social data and prediction problems that exist on the web. We are hiring in multiple locations.

Required Skills:

Research Engineer, AI Specialist - FAIR Responsibilities:

  1. Apply relevant AI and machine learning techniques to build intelligent agentic systems that improve Meta’s products and experiences

  2. Develop novel, accurate, and safe AI algorithms and advanced systems for large scale applications

  3. Define use cases and develop methodology and benchmarks to evaluate different approaches

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  2. A Masters in AI, computer science, data science, or related technical fields.

  3. 3+ years of specialization experience in one or more of the following machine learning domains

  4. In-depth understanding in mainstream ML domains such as computer vision, NLP, conversational AI

  5. ML theory: reinforcement learning, privacy preserving machine learning, large scale personalization, machine learning fairness, machine learning interpretability, machine learning robustness

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. A PhD in AI, computer science, data science, or related technical fields

  2. Author contribution to accepted publications at peer-reviewed AI conferences

  3. Experience with distributed systems or on-device algorithm development

  4. Experience with large scale data processing and data oriented research

Public Compensation:

$70.67/hour to $208,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
