Job Title: Research Associate-ScientificJob Description
The Cell Therapy Analytical Development group is seeking a motivated Research Associate to perform routine functional characterization of CAR-T and gene edited cells used in cell therapy. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of flow cytometry and cell biology, as well as an enthusiastic attitude and desire to work collaboratively.
Responsibilities
Conduct routine analysis of cell products for quality attributes using flow cytometry and cell-based assays.
Design, plan, execute, and analyze lab experiments.
Manage inventory of samples and materials, ensuring proper handling and storage.
Maintain proper documentation of experimental results using an electronic lab notebook.
Summarize and present scientific data, reporting results to project teams.
Maintain a safe work environment in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
Essential Skills
2-3 years of experience with flow cytometry.
Experience with FlowJo software.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
3 years of hands-on experience with cellular analytical techniques.
Experience with experimental design and assay development.
Excellent aseptic technique and experience with mammalian and/or primary cell culture.
Experience with flow cytometry instrumentation maintenance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Immunology, Biological or Chemical Engineering, Virology, Molecular or Cellular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.
Ability to solve problems using scientific principles and engineering fundamentals.
Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and coordinate activities within a team.
Desire and drive to learn and a passion for impacting the lives of patients with serious diseases.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely through oral presentations and technical writing.
Work Environment
This position is 100% onsite in Seattle-Dexter, WA, with a schedule of Monday to Friday during normal business hours. The role involves working in a biology lab and office environment, performing wet lab work in BSL-2 conditions.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.58 - $33.75/hr.
