Seattle Children’s Hospital Research Assistant in Seattle, Washington

Responsibilities: Researchers at Seattle Children's are looking for individuals to assist with data collection for studies about physical activity. Individuals will be trained in two different observational data collection methods and primarily assist the research team with data collection offsite by observing schoolyards at middle and elementary schools around Tacoma and/or Seattle, WA. Data collection occurs on weekdays and weekends throughout April and on weekdays in May 2024. Individuals located near Tacoma are strongly encouraged to apply. There may be opportunities to get involved in other aspects of research. Requirements: Required Education/Experience: - High school diploma or equivalent. - Two (2) years of college-level coursework in biological or life sciences or health related field. - At least one (1) year of work experience. - Per the driver's license requirement noted below, must have a driving record acceptable to Risk Management. Required Credentials: - Any position that requires the use of a motor vehicle will require a current Washington State Driver's license. Preferred: - Bachelor's degree in biological or life sciences or health related field. - At least three (3) years in a research or health care setting. - Familiarity with US Food & Drug Administration (FDA) regulations and International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines. - Knowledge of medical terminology. Min to Max Hourly Salary: $20.50 - $30.76 /hr Min to Max Annual Salary: $42,640.00 - $63,980.80 /yr Salary Information: This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
