Harborview Medical Center is actively seeking Registered Nurse with a background in the ICU to join our team in support of the critical work carried out by the Washington Medical Coordination Center (WMCC).

Since its inception during the COVID-19 Pandemic, the WMCC has been dedicated to ensuring that the impact of any event or disease process can be effectively managed across the hospitals and healthcare systems in Washington State.

This collaborative effort prevents any single facility from becoming isolated without the capacity or capability to care for the patients under their care.

Additionally, the WMCC serves as a central hub for patient movement into and out of Washington State during emergent events, be they regional, national, or international responses where patients may require support from Washington State hospitals. It also plays a pivotal role in coordinating multi-patient movement to neighboring states or regions in the aftermath of a disaster.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Assessing and triaging patients to the most appropriate facilities.

  • Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care.

  • Provide direction to staff in learning situations.

  • Provide patient care and coordination of services through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of safe, therapeutic care.

  • Telework-90%-Alternate work shift.

  • NOTE :Employees will be expected to attend routine meetings onsite. In some instances, during high call volume periods or responses, they may be required to report to the Harborview Campus. REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.

  • Four or more years of clinical nursing, working in the ICU (ED experiences may be considered).

  • Have/Obtain a WA state nursing license to practice or MSL.
