$10,000 Sign-On Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine UW Medical Center - Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a Part Time Registered Nurse to join our Transplant Clinic , which is part of the Medical Specialties Center. This is a procedural role that will provide nursing care with compassion and integrity.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • Part time / 60% FTE

  • 8 hour shifts on Monday, Thursday, and Friday

  • Day shift hours only DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Our Transplant Clinic is a multidisciplinary team that combines clinical, academic, and research knowledge in the field of transplant medicine and transplant surgery. Our board-certified surgeons perform a broad array of multi-organ procurements, including kidney-pancreas transplantation, liver transplantation, and intestinal transplantation. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides central line care to transplant patients

  • Monitors patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedure

  • Responds to emergencies and complications in the procedural suite

  • Performs wound care and complex dressing changes

  • Uses and maintains procedural equipment

  • Provides care coordination services, including discharge coordination

  • Educates patients and their families about treatment options and side effect management REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 years of current or recent medical-surgical or procedural nursing experience

  • Demonstrated experience in central line care and dressing changes

  • Demonstrated experience in wound care, drains, and tubes

  • Demonstrated experience in urinary drainage systems and catheter management

  • Active BLS
