UW Medical Center – Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a part time (80% FTE, 32 hours per week), day shift REGISTERED NURSE to join our Transplant Clinic, which is part of our Medical Specialties Center. Our Transplant Clinic is a multidisciplinary team that combines clinical, academic, and research knowledge in the field of transplant medicine and transplant surgery. Our board-certified surgeons perform a broad array of multi-organ procurements, including kidney-pancreas transplantation, liver transplantation, and intestinal transplantation. This is a procedural role that will provide nursing care with compassion and integrity. SCHEDULE: 32 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Our clinic is closed on nights, weekends, and holidays. RESPONSIBILITIES: The Registered Nurse will provide central line care to transplant and medical specialties patients, and will be responsible for outpatient clinical nursing care and education of post kidney transplant patients. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2 years of current or recent medical-surgical or procedural nursing experience

  • Demonstrated experience in central line care and dressing changes

  • Demonstrated experience in wound care, drains, and tubes

  • Demonstrated experience in urinary drainage systems and catheter management

  • An active Registered Nurse license in the State of Washington DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BSN or MSN
