$10,000 Sign-On Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine UW Medical Center-Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our outpatient Otolaryngology Clinic in North Seattle .

WORK SCHEDULE

  • 40 hours per week

  • 9 hour day shifts Monday – Thursday, plus a 4 hour morning shift on Friday

  • Our clinic is closed on nights, weekends, and holidays DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Our Otolaryngology Clinic combines experts from a variety of fields to treat all disorders of the ear, nose and throat (ENT). Services offered at our clinic range from allergy treatments to rhinoplasties to nasal obstruction surgeries to tonsillectomies. We also offer audiology services, ranging from to diagnostic hearing tests to balance testing.We are a close-knit clinic with 8 providers and 10 support staff. This position will be the only full time RN on the team.We welcome experienced ambulatory nurses and nurses who are new to an outpatient setting to join our team. Training will be provided to nurses who are transitioning into ambulatory care for the first time. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Triage Epic InBasket requests based on acuity

  • Review inbound patient referrals

  • Conduct pre-op calls for surgical patients

  • Answer patient calls and eCare messages on a daily basis

  • Follow up on medical records and test results

  • Complete patient paperwork, including forms for insurance authorizations and disability accommodations

  • Provide case management support

  • Educate patients and their families on home care and follow-up care

  • When needed, assist our providers during minimally invasive procedures REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
