$10,000 Sign-On Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine UW Medical Center - Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a Rotating Shift (days and nights) Registered Nurse to join our Medical Telemetry Unit.

ABOUT OUR MEDICAL TELEMETRY UNIT

  • We are a general medical unit with a full cardiac telemetry and rehabilitation program

  • We offer 36 beds for patients

  • We consistently hold 1:4 and 1:5 nurse to patient ratios

  • Our RNs work in close partnership with our physicians and our certified nursing assistants

  • We are proud to offer a breadth of training opportunities for our staff, including stroke training and advanced EKG trainingWe welcome experienced hospital nurses and nurses who are new to a hospital setting to join our team. Training will be provided to nurses who are transitioning into telemetry care for the first time. WORK SCHEDULE

  • 36 hours per week

  • 3x12 shift schedule

  • This position can work a mix of day shifts and night shifts. Additional details will be provided in the interview. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide evidence-based nursing services to an acutely ill patient population, including post-stroke patients

  • Monitor heart rhythms and vital signs using telemetry equipment

  • Identify care needs

  • Assess and manage pain

  • Provide personalized care with compassion, dignity, and respect REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active BLS
