$10,000 Sign-On Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine UW Medical Center-Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join the UW Sports Medicine Center , located at Husky Stadium. This is a great chance to join a state-of-the-art, multidisciplinary clinic that brings together spine care, orthopedics, sports medicine, primary care, and physical therapy.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • 40 hours per week

  • Monday-Friday only

  • Must be able to work 8:00am-4:30pm, 8:30pm-5:00pm, and 9:00am-5:30pm. RNs at the Sports Medicine Center work all three schedules on a rotating basis. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Sports Medicine Center at Husky Stadium is an ultramodern, 30,000 square-foot facility. Our providers work with people of all ages and abilities, including athletes and non-athletes alike. We have specialists in sports medicine, orthopedic surgery, physical therapy and radiology. Our staff includes team physicians for the UW Huskies, Seattle Seahawks, various Seattle public high schools, and the Seattle Marathon. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist providers during minimally-invasive surgical procedures and blood draws

  • Provide care coordination and patient education, including pre-op teaching

  • Handle phone triage and respond to MyChart messages

  • Assist with medication refills

  • Perform prior authorizations

  • Assist with daily staffing

  • Perform as a Charge Nurse when warranted by management REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 years of recent medical-surgical or ambulatory orthopedic nursing experience

  • Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
